Financial Filters

๐Ÿ“Š Financial Filters

Filters allow you to refine and analyze financial records using different criteria, providing a clearer, more segmented, and contextual view of your data.

Depending on the area of the system, some filters may be shown or hidden automatically to keep the experience simple and relevant.

---

๐Ÿงพ Status

The Status filter allows you to select the state of financial records.

Available options:

  • All: shows all records regardless of status;
  • Confirmed: shows only completed records (paid/received);
  • Open: shows pending records that are not yet completed.

In practice, it is used to:

  • separate what already impacts your balance from what is still pending;
  • track payments and receivables;
  • analyze actual vs. expected cash flow.

---

๐Ÿท๏ธ Cost Centers

๐Ÿ’ฑ Currency

The Currency filter defines which currency the records will be displayed in.

Available options:

  • Dollar
  • Euro
  • Pound
  • Real

โš ๏ธ Unlike other filters, currency cannot be created directly from the select.

This is because:

  • currencies require more complex configuration;
  • they may involve exchange rates and standardization;
  • they are managed in a dedicated area of the system.

In practice:

  • analyze data in a specific currency;
  • avoid mixing values from different currencies;
  • maintain consistency in financial reports.

---

๐Ÿ’ฐ Record Type

The Income and Expenses checkboxes define which types of financial movements are displayed.

In practice:

  • view only income;
  • view only expenses;
  • or combine both for a complete cash flow view.

---

๐Ÿ“… Period

The Period filter defines the time range used in the analysis.

Main options:

  • Current Position: shows the present financial state, ignoring future entries;
  • Future Entries: shows only upcoming records;
  • Today: records from the current day;
  • Current Week: records from the current week;
  • 1 Week: last 7 days (rolling window);
  • Current Month: records from the current month;
  • 1 Month: last 30 days;
  • 6 Months: mid-term view;

In practice:

  • perform custom analyses;
  • compare specific time ranges;
  • investigate particular events or variations.

---

๐Ÿ“Œ Important Notes

  • Most filters (cost centers, chart of accounts, and tags) are dynamic and user-adaptable;
  • New values can be created directly within the select inputs (except currency);
  • Results depend on the combination of applied filters;
  • The system may consider different date types (due date, payment date, etc.), depending on the context.

> ๐Ÿ’ก Combining filters enables a much more powerful, personalized, and accurate financial analysis.
