Process Types

In ProcessFlex, processes are organized by types. Some process types come preconfigured by default, but you can also create new ones freely according to your business needs.

Default Process Types

The system initially provides the following process types:

  • Purchase
  • Sale
  • Quotation
  • Projects
  • Tasks

These templates cover the most common business operations.

You can manage and create process types at any time here:

What Is a Process Type?

You can think of a process type as a recipe for a dish 🍲.

Depending on the ingredients you use, the final result will be different.

For example:

  • If you include a supplier, product receipt, and an expense, you are likely creating a Purchase process.
  • If you relate suppliers and products to compare values, it is a Quotation.
  • If you add a salesperson, a customer, and a value entry, then you have a Sale.

Each process type defines how information is organized and how the workflow behaves.

Flexibility for Your Business

ProcessFlex provides ready-made “recipes” for common operations — after all, most businesses regularly handle purchases, sales, projects, and tasks.

However, you can also:

  • Use only the default process types
  • Create fully customized process types
  • Adapt the system to match your specific operational model

This flexibility allows the system to grow with your business.

Financial Module Integration

With special focus on the financial module, processes can generate:

  • Incoming transactions
  • Outgoing transactions

Some process types, such as Projects, may not require direct financial transactions. However, they can still be connected to other processes — for example, a Purchase process if materials or services are needed during execution.

This integrated structure keeps your operations organized and financially aligned.
